Indigo Sky Casino, formerly Bordertown Casino, has established itself as one of the best casinos in the area and was nominated as one of the Best of the Best casinos of 2013 in NWA Media’s reader’s poll.
Located in eastern Oklahoma, Indigo Sky Casino offers full service with live game tables, slots, bingo, off-track betting, a hotel, restaurants and several other accommodations.
The facility is owned and operated by the Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma. The casino outgrew its former location and built a new, high-quality resort with 80,000 square feet of gaming space that includes a bingo hall, a private poker room and a chic lounge and bar.
The gaming floor is equipped with a state-of-the-art, down-draft ventilation system placed in the center of each gaming console to cater to smokers and non-smokers. There are about 1,250 electronic games that cost anywhere from a penny to $25 to play.
There are also plenty of options for live gaming with more than a dozen card tables, a 520-seat bingo hall, simulcast off-track betting and a private poker room with no-limit betting.
As a nod to the quality of service and operations, Indigo Sky Casino is a host of national poker tournaments, including the nationally televised Heartland Poker Tour last fall.
There are several dining options to satisfy any number of cravings. The Ridge Cafe is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Offerings include home-style breakfast, fresh salads, hearty sandwiches and burgers. The Cafe also serves all-you-can-eat shrimp and sirloin on Sunday afternoons and Friday and Saturday nights.
There is also the Sky Grille, which serves a classic American menu featuring favorite dishes from coast to coast; and the Shawnee Restaurant & Bar, which presents a chef-prepared menu of finer cuisine.
The Echo Ultra Lounge is an ideal meeting place and also offers free, live entertainment four nights a week.
The hotel at Indigo Sky provides 117 rooms, including 19 suites, double queen and king rooms. Each room features a 32-inch HDTV, safe, iron and ironing board. Room service is available 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. Complimentary WiFi and local calls are also included.
The pool area features cabanas, fireplaces and a waterfall. The pool area and cabanas can receive room service and also can be reserved for private cocktail parties of up to 150 people.
Banquet space and meeting rooms are available with an option of food, beverage and AV capabilities. Space can be reserved by contacting Sandra Pennington at (918) 666-9312 or by emailing
Additional lodging accommodations are provided by Whispering Woods RV Park. Guests who stay here have access to a clubhouse, pool and outdoor pavilion. There is also showers and a laundry facility on-site.
